Description:

The GT-EBMT Electrical Brake & Transmission Bleeding & Recovery Unit 5LT is a versatile tool designed to address issues related to soft brake/clutch pedals and prolonged operation activities. This unit facilitates efficient bleeding procedures, ensuring optimal performance of the braking and clutch systems.

Key Features:

Adjustable Bleeding Pressure:

  • The factory-set pressure is 2 bar to prevent warping or deformation of master cylinder reservoirs and leakage from outer boots or dust seals.
  • Hand knob allows for easy adjustment of pressure, with a clockwise (CW) turn to increase and a counterclockwise (CCW) turn to decrease pressure.
  • Important: Always readjust the pressure back to the factory setting of 2 bar after any changes.

Operating Instructions:

  • Secure Fluid Container: Place a new brake fluid container on the holding platform and secure it with the hold-down chain.
  • Connect Fluid Pick-up Tube: Insert the fluid pick-up tube into the container opening, ensuring a proper seal with the seal cone.
  • Connect Pressure Hose: Attach the quick coupler of the pressure hose to the self-purging nipple.
  • Power Up: Plug the power cord into a wall outlet (230V AC, 0.1kW, 50Hz).
  • Air Purge: Run the unit for at least 30 seconds with the pressure hose connected to the self-purge nipple to eliminate air from the hose and pump. Repeat before each bleed job.
  • Master Cylinder Adapter: Connect the pressure hose to a properly installed master cylinder adapter.
  • Power On: Turn on the unit using the power switch; ensure the green light is illuminated.
  • Adjust Pressure: Set the bleeding pressure by turning the pressure regulator knob to the recommended level by the vehicle manufacturer.
  • Bleeding Process: Follow the vehicle manufacturer's procedure to bleed the system, especially when working on ABS systems.
  • Pressure Release: Before removing the pressure hose, switch off the unit to relieve pressure. Return the original master cylinder cover to the reservoir.
